The electric bass lays the musical foundation of a band, linking the drums and the harmony instruments.
The bass is mainly an accompanying instrument, but it is also used as a solo instrument. Lessons cover different styles and techniques, such as playing with the fingers or with a plectrum. In AMP bands, students can practise playing together as soon as they have learned the basics. Bands are always short of bass players, so there are plenty of opportunities to play.
