The piano produces melody, harmony and a bass line at the same time, so a pianist has a whole orchestra at their fingertips. Playing the piano helps you understand how music is structured: what you hear, you can also see on the keyboard. The repertoire is vast.
At Avonia, children can start the piano as early as age 4, depending on the child's readiness. Lessons are planned around each student's starting point and goals. For practising at home, it is worth getting an instrument of sufficient quality. Ask your teacher for advice before buying a piano.
